Drawing from my personal experience of academic life, I am keeping a few notes here to remind myself, but also to share with anyone who are interested in making the academia a better place. Everyone defines “better” and “academia” in their own terms.

When organizing a conference, I shall strive to secure travel funds in advance and make it available for academic or artistic researchers in precarious career standing in order to ease their financial burden for sharing their research and knowledge. A lesson I have learned when a speaker in a conference session I organized eventually could not attend owing to their financial situation.
